Believe in something that wasn't real
Trying to be optimistic about life and its possibilities
i listened to the self help gurus
hah
foolish me
i chose to believe a ruse that I should have known to be one
even knowing the person who uttered the words could not hold themselves to the statement.
But humans Want to believe in things..
and as cynical as I believe I am
I WANT to believe in truth
and in people knowing their own truth..
my weakness is
I BELIEVE in people..
maybe more than i believe in me..

so this is an acknowledgment..
that I must learn to live only my truth..
and maybe STOP trying to to help fulfill the truth of others..
