I'm Clivia - a 40 something Tobagonian, passionate about many things - but at best - I'm a writer.
In my past life I was Brown Girl In the Ring - A Miami Carnival resource blog, but since Miami Carnival broke my heart (that's probably gonna be a blog post) I don't have the zeal or fire for it like I used to.
People evolve, interests evolve, and this is my outlet to share. You're welcome along for the ride!

First of all, I'm happy that certain bands are launching early and taking Miami Carnival serious again. As for the costumes, I could see myself playing in the second 1. I found out about this launch a little too late, and would of liked to go myself.
